See Robert’s biography…

Robert Whitney, age 59, of San Pedro, passed away on June 4, 2018.

A brave warrior who battled cancer for over twenty years, carried on through love when his body grew weak. He was an amazing man who never complained about his health and he laughed and joked and made his treacherous journey as easy on everyone surrounding him as possible.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dawn (McKinniss); daughter, Danielle (Frank) Moore; daughter, Desiree (Mark) Chavez; two sons Ryan and Braden, and a wonderful “Bobpa” to his grandchildren, Mason Anthony and Charlee Joy Chavez. Robert is preceded in death by his daughter, Carolynne Lee Whitney.

Robert worked in the Real Estate industry since 1980, establishing Team Whitney, one of the top teams at Keller Williams Realty, with his daughter Danielle in 2005.

Robert was an exemplary mentor to several friends, family members, and business associates. His greatest wish would be for everyone to live by his favorite motto, “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”

As an extremely active dad, Robert relished coaching his children and their peers in many sports. He helped kids grow as athletes and as individuals, while having the time of their lives.

He was a Past Master and proud member of Los Angeles Harbor Masonic Lodge #332. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Lodge online or via check. Donations online can be made through this page or checks can also be sent to:
